UK Trackdays...

So, as we are nearly in March and the weather is only going to get better, I'm thinking abut trackdays!

Anyone got any booked or planned yet?

Quite fancy Cadwell Park again meself. Some Cadwell evening sessions coming up late April. Evening gives you time to get there and is cheap at about £45!!

So, any thoughts?

Also, be good to get a group together for a day somewhere central: Mallory, Donington, Rockigham, Silverstone?

For ideas, look at http://www.uktrackdays.co.uk

I'm in - just bought a couple of pairs of SuperCorsa Pros in SC1 & SC2 compounds to ruin this year!

TBH I could do with getting one in soonish (I wanna give my WOWs another outing) or later in the year.

I'm going to Le Mans in May (Moto GP) and June (24hrs) and am paid up for a TDR TD in July (despite not having it built yet!)

Summer prices tend to be stupid so I will prob wait until September / October for more and get the cheap deals.

Saying that - get one booked and I'll find the money / get a pass from the Mrs :D

I haven't forgotten the spindle sliders BTW, just been busy. On hols next week so will be w/c 5th March before we can get together.

Every year I say I will, then I don't, so this year I won't say that I will. But I want to.

Cadwell or Oulton are my personal favourite tracks - you can't go very wrong there if the weather's dry.

Was thinking last week of trying Rockingham in the Spring (either on my KTM or on the TRX, if it's back on the road) as the track maps I've seen make it look fairly interesting. Anyone been there? Is it any good?

I've done Rockingham, and it's a great track, lotsof bends, some tight and some long but all smooooth. Great for the TRX (or a Supermoto). Facilities and garages are good too as they're relatively new. Also, they quite often do Saturday trackdays, but..

..the national (infield) circuit is by far the best I reckon. The international circuit goes up onto the banked oval they use for the 'NASCAR' type racing and it's not as good: there's a nasty bump getting onto and off the oval and it misses out some good infield corners

Nice central location too: easy for anyone to get to. All in all, well worth a visit on a TRX :o

Only track where I've taken a detour into the gravel at!!

I will definitely be doing one or two of the Cadwell evenings.
Let me know when you fix your dates.

OK, so I've booked up for Cadwell Park on 26th April for the evening session with Focused Events: £35

http://www.focusedevents.com/uk_track_days.asp

I like the evening ones: nice and cheap, only need a half day off work, leisurely ride up there without having to set off at stupid o'clock for an 8 a.m. sign in, 2 or 3 sessions on track, then ride home!

Any one else up for it??

I've booked too. Went for intermediate as its safer than novice!
Cant complain at £35.
Maybe we can meet up on the way, bit further for me.
I usually go up to colsterworth on A1, then cut across the B6043 then pick up the A153 at Ancaster .
Looking forward to it already! Got nearly new Qualifiers on.

I'm planning to go - will probably book one at Rockingham before then, weather permitting.

Nice one Hector: we'll talk nearer the time about maybe riding up together.

Go for it Idl !
Also, if you book Rockingham, post up the date cos I may join you.

Heard there's MRO club racing at Cadwell on the Fri/Sat/Sun after the trackday, so may be some racers booking on it to get in an extra half days practice??

Still pleanty of spaces left at the moment though. Anyone...?

Dave.
