Snetterton 13/6/13

Enjoyed a terrific day at Snetterton today on my TRX with newly rebuilt 878 motor.
Was surprised to see another Rex in the garages and turned out to be Silver from the forum so we had a good natter about bikes generally and the joys of TRX ownership.
Only revved it to 6k for the first outing to give the new crank/rod shells a chance to bed in.
With time and once I felt happy there were no leaks or strange noises (gearbox oil seal stayed dry), it was pulling 8.5k in top down the back straight on 17/42. Still puffs a bit of smoke on down changes but it always has. Valve guides maybe though it has new seals.
6 dry sessions and one lost to a shower (Silver was almost the only one out there) and then it tipped it down as I hit the A11 heading home (in my Berlingo).
Feels good to be out there again after a lengthy and expensive crank rebuild. Worth all the grief in the end. Not a flicker from the oil light even after a fast session.
Bedford or Donnington next in July.
