Pirelli Angel GT's

Just thought I would share my thoughts. I have been riding with various brands of michelins for years. I just replace pilot power 3 on the rear of the TRX for Pirelli Angel GT. I must say this tyre suits the Rex a whole lot better. The bike is more nimble and turns into the corner effortlessly. grip seems pretty much the same. This angel GT has made me a convert. No more michelins for me.

I would put this down to new versus old.

The angel GTs are a good tyre but a harder compound with a stiffer construction so should last longer but not be as grippy

I know I can feel the change in my Pilot pures with nearly 4000km's on them.
Reaction time is just a little slower and they have lost their edge and just sliding a little more.

Personally I always change the front and rear at the same time and never mix n match different brands.
As Paul touched on, each manufacturer has their own tyre construction ideals and profile designs.
This is why a tyre pressure you run with 1 manufacturer may not suit another due to carcass construction.
