YZF750 6 pot caliper torque settings

I've fitted at YZF750 front end to my TRX, complete with the 6 pot calipers which I prefer to the usual R6 blue spot items.

My calipers were pretty shabby so I've completely stripped them down to replace the seals and give them a thorough clean up.

To do this I have splt the caliper into two halves to make it easier to get to the seals.

(Incidentally I discovered a really good way of pulling out the pistons using a large rubber nut if anyone is interested)

My problem now is that my haynes manual doesn't give a torque value for the four M8 allen bolts which hold the two halves of the caliper together.

Does anyone happen to know what the torque setting should be.

Also............does anyone know a source of cheap seal kits for these calipers

Cheers :D

You won't find a torque setting in a manual as Yamaha dont intend you take them apart.... I'd imagine 20-30 ftlb would be OK though.

Try here for seal kits:

Cheers for the info.

Did you try the pod filters on your FCRs?

shoot, I've rebuilt calipers enough times to know it's a complete pain in the arse. I just replaced the last set, much easier
