Ive spent hrs and hrs searching this site trying to find out how to do the tps mod. My trxtor is a track day only bike so would really like as much bhp as possible. Has anybody done this mod and more importantly how do you do it!!!!
Any info greatly appreciated

I too would be interested in finding out any possible mods or tuning aspects after fitting to fcr's I cant seem to find the balance point so have just set back to original marks as such

Wow that seems afirly easy to do...what does this modification do? Does it bump up bhp as "trxtor" said and if so how much? Are there any downsides to doing this?

it puts your timing to full advance , only downside is mine runs a bit lumpy at tick over but its not that bad i think it was trixynut who did it first and phuk did the dyno runs with and without tps ,,without tps gave 2 maybe 3 bhp more , mine has fcr41s and 878kit and runs fine , and starts no problem

Yep, t'was me that figured this out.

As steve sez, sets the ignition to full advance all the time and adds 2-3bhp. I ran it with no probs at all with a full race system and FCR41's. Probably no advantage if you've got stock carbs and just a set of cans though.

In the photo, just look at the two yellow wires: disconnect the grey connector on the CDI and connect the top left and top middle connectors underneath to the battery negative, as the photo of my bike above shows.

Can't help it but the figure still looks scary to me!

Edit: Adding 2-3 bhp, isn't that with the rev-limiter-mod?
If not, then the bhp will be added in mid-range, not at top-end, right?

....and, TPS mod increases rev limit from 9k to 10k.

Anyone got an Idea of the small size male teminal that lives within the black box to do the tps mod?
Its obviously smaller than a std blade type terminal or have you just used a insulated std female terminal and bodgeed it up to fit?? Sounds like a recipe for a problem that way tho to me..

Just noticed on killerwhales pic of the modification that there is a loom sitting beside it WITHOUT a 6pin teminal block as per std, and just has clear insulated female terminals on it.
Does any other cabling from the original terminal block live back on the black box male terminal pins?? or is the whole 6way loom bypassed and just the two cables connecting to the battery, live on the top left and top centre of the black box thingomebob doovalacky hashyavatha watchamecallit watsaname.???

Just leave the 6pin unplugged

figured as much but best to be safe than sorry.. just gotta track down the right size terminals now...Thanks
