Going Naked

Well, I made my first purchase towards converting my bike to a naked, one of these
http://www.probikekit.com/display.php?code=O2056
They're supposed to be pretty good, loads of people use them or the older versions or what ever. Dunno what I'm going to do for a rev counter though, I only really want something small (and cheap!). But I figured £25 for a tiny speedo that has a trip meter and a clock and everything isn't so bad really.
I need a headlight and a small screen of some sort. In two minds whether or not to use a bar end mirror, I've always like them but I wonder if clearance might be an issue filtering?
Might drop the clipons under the yoke as well, or is it a complete and utter man better looking/dressed than me?
Greg
Edit: do we think a 5" headlight will be good enough? Fair bit cheaper than a 7" one . . .

Hey Greg,
Love the streetfighter choice mate - doing it myself. I do notice however that the digital speedo hundred's digit will only produce a 1 (therefore 199 max speed hypothetically

) Is this going to be an issue?
All the best anyways

In mph it won't be an issue, no.
I'm only really converting my to protect the already damaged fairing. We'll see how it goes.

Greg I have bought a pair of FZR400 headlights which are 5" each. Do you want me to take a picture with 1 of them central to my clocks just to give you an idea ?

(yes I finished work early & I'm bored !)

Bit blurred but I couldn't get far enough away from it and still hold the lights so that's the best i could do. Only took 6 attempts !

what do you reckon?
I could probably get a bandit headlight from a breakers pretty cheap. Or find someone who has one knocking about in the garage.

Looks fine to me mate.

I was gonna try fitting both those lights in a copy fairing I got but they look well cool on their own to me !

Hmmmmmmm. YZF750 also look good but are waaaaay too big.

Definitely a single round headlight if you're cafe-racering it

M&P do headlights pretty cheap.

the lil cycle computer arrived today and I'm quite impressed. Tidy little bit of kit and once it's mounted properly I reckon it will look pretty good. Was really really easy to set up, can tell me ride time, got a trip meter, overall distance (which I've started at the 29k miles or what ever my speedo shows) etc etc. For £20 you can't complain at the quality, and compared to what £20 of motorcycle speedo would be like there is no comparison.
This is what it looks like on the yoke, I haven't decided where to properly mount it yet. need to be able to use the buttons on the right side, and get it on and off. thoughts?
The space immediately above it would be nice, but access could be a problem. Might have to be the other side.

Why not fabricate a simple, thin ally bracket the slides under the top yoke bolt and then have the computer/speedo sat in the centre of the yoke? Access to buttons wouldn't be a problem then and you could also angle it so you can read it easily. I suspect having it flat on the yoke might make it difficult to see at times?
Hope my 2penneth helps....

now that, sir, is a damn good idea. Wonder how thin it would need to be. there is no weight to that unit really.
Question, if I remove the tacho, what happens? Some bikes are a bit funny about it aren't they?

Does it have a magnet that goes on the front wheel?? If so screw and glue. I had one on my Husaberg, worked a treat, but then It didn't have a speedo or tacho in the first place. You could always get a smaller tacho unit to sit next to it.
