Some lighting issues

Hi guys, the TRX had to be put on the back burner for 6 months as I bought a house (bigger garage) that needed a lot of work.

Back on it now, steering head bearings done and rear caliper sorted (my dad stored the bike for 6 months for me whilst I moved and in fair play he has done the steering head bearings and rebuilt the rear caliper for me!!!!)

I currently have no front indicators, brake light off the front (probably a switch as I have it off the rear brake) and no rear lights (bulb workes for aforementioned front brake light, I have main and dipped front). I have checked all the fuses and they are fine.

Wondered has any body else know of a common fault before I try and dig deeper. Bulbs work, just bought myself a meter but will happily admit to being electricity difficient (I always wonder if you pull a bulb out in the house and turn on the switch why all the electricity doesn't fall out) but determined to learn a bit more doing this.

History, I've always had bikes since starting trials at 6 but been off the road for two years. I have my cagiva 900 elephant tucked away and bought the trx with no MOT off an auction. Starts and runs lovely but handled like a pig (steering head bearings)

Just sorted my new garage into a half decent work space so am rearing to go. Any help, sarcastic comment always appreciated).

Power and tracking it's path isn't too hard, may just be a little time consuming.
Just follow the path to each terminal until you find the no signal. Quite often it may just be as simple as a dirty terminal not allowing signal to pass.
Clean each as you go and spray with wd40 or use a conductive grease .
If in the UK, it seems like a few lads deal with salty roads and corrosion so this may be your culprit.

You can also just bypass the front brake switch by placing a piece of wire in each terminal and hard wiring for a few seconds to see if the brake light comes on.
You have power to the rear indicators and rear brake switch/light so it will more than likely be a dirty earth or terminal.

Do the simple stuff first: check all connectors are pushed in tight everywhere and connected up right.
Then I would check the earth wires, as these have caused me issues before.
There's the main one from the battery, but also some others, iirc one onto the frame just under the rhs of the tank for instance (little black wires)
Also think theres an earth connection in one of the light switch blocks on the bars, so maybe if you've had these off too, they need a check.

If non of that works, just ride it in the daytime, and who uses indicators anyway?!?

Thank u all for your suggestions. Indicators turned out to be a bulb that looked ok but was in fact blown on one side and an earth connector had rusted through on the second. Front brake light was predictably a switch and the rear lights there is a break somewhere in the main loom so i will run a new cable.

Working all weekend but plan to nail it all back together early next week and MOT middle of the week, just need to order a new brake lever and left mirror. The trx doesn't carbarate perfectly of the bottom end but I'm going to wait to be able to give it a good blast before I look at it as by the cobwebs the bike has been standing for several years (hence the low milage). I found one spider had made a lovely home in the left hand switchgear.

Can't wait to take it out, the Terimignini cans sound awesome. Will post some pics as soon as I remember how.

MOT, failed

I'm looking at it this way, all the electrics passed

Fork seals so just ordered them and about to put the bike back on the bench.
