Electronic speedo replacement

Having got the R1 front end all fitted and my bike back on the road, I now find myself faced with the problem of not knowing how slow I'm going, which is a nasty problem to have in Victoria as the revenue raisers have zero tolerance (You will be fined for doing 101 in a 100 zone!)
I need an electronic speedo but I would like to keep the standard instrument cluster without mods it at all possible.
Does anyone know of an electronic speedo with analog dial that will drop into the original instrument cluster?
I've been trawling my way through the web sites of Motogadget, Acewell, Koso et al but can't see anything appropriate.

Hi Dicky,

I've the same problem as you and in the interim I've fitted a bicycle trip computer - CatEye Velo 7 works up to 199kph. Don't buy a wireless one, it won't go the distance. I intend to CAD up an axle to take the standard TRX wheel in the R1 forks and get it machined up. Just been a bit short of time and $ at the moment to get this done.

I believe Rod has a hybrid clock set up on his bike running and acwell speedo with the trx tacho

I am not sure you will be able to get and exact size match though and you will have to modify the binacle

the cleanest solutions I have see are to just replace the lot with something reasonable OEM looking

Having discounted my original plan to fit a replacement electronic speedo into the original instrument cluster I'm now looking at replacing the entire cluster with an electronic unit.
What I have found that I like are:
Motogadget ChronoClassic speedo
Acewell 6456
Koso RX-2N

The Motogadget is bloody expensive, $650AUD and I'd need to cut up an existing instrument cluster to get all the dials I want.
Does anyone have experience with either of these Acewell or Koso units.

Here is the Koso dash, simple to wire in place and easy to read with multiple configurations on the display to choose from.
Sits in nicely on the top headlight bar which positions it around the same position as the std clocks so a simple glance gives you all the info needed.

Have a google for GPS speedos

My mate has got one for his (just about) road legal trackday car - about the size of a box of matches and pretty accurate. You could easily graft that into teh TRX clocks
