Fuel tap supply line to carbs - o-ring

Hey guys, got a quick question... on my bike the fuel supply line that goes to the carbs joins to the bottom of the fuel tap with a metal 'L' shaped connector. Now this connector *should* have a small flat style rubber o-ring that sits in a groove in this connector. The connector then pushes into the bottom of the tap.
My 0-rign has always been missing on my bike so the bike sometimes smells of fuel as you get a very small amount of fuel escaping. I've been the local yam dealer before and he said he couldn't see the o-ring that I need. I've now looked online at the parts sheet and I also can't see the o-ring in the diagram OR the 'L' shaped connector!
So, does anyone know where I can get this o-ring? Does everyone else have this 'L' shaped connector or is my bike somehow different and that's why this damn 0-ring isn't on the parts list!!!

If you mean the elbow that connects the fuel pipe #22 from the fuel cock assembly #14 to the fuel pump #32, then there is/was no o-ring.
The elbow outlet of the fuel cock was glued into place.
Over time and, with a bit of wriggling of the fuel pipe as you take the tank on/off, this can cause the elbow to begin to loosen and rotate.
From there you're stuffed.
I tried to find a glue that would stick and not dissolve in petrol but gave up and bought another fuel cock (from an XJR1200 and swapped the bits I wanted).

Thanks, yes, the elbow jointed metal tube that sends the fuel from the fuel cock to the pump.
Ah, right. Bugger. What a crappy design. If you pull the elbow joint out of the fuel cock it certainly has an o-ring in there as I checked on my mates TRX. There is even a groove in the tube where the flat ring site. Sounds like though from what you are saying that it's not supposed to come out and therefore the o-ring isn't replaceable. That's very annoying!

I glued it back in place with 2-comp liquid metal ( how is this called in english). No problem at all. Never saw an o-ring in there.

I had exactly the same problem, I posted something about when someone mentioned that they had lockwired the L shaped piece in position as it had worked loose! I had the slight petrol leak too and cured it by wrapping some PTFE tape around the L piece, this has stopped the leak and gives a more secure fitting.

From memory many years back, the little elbow at the lower of the fuel tap has a small slot which looks like a place for an O ring.
It really is the slot for a small spring wire circlip.
Hence why it would likley go missing
