Rearsets and Wishbones.

Post by devlin » Wed Apr 18, 2007 3:48 am

I am at work so can't do the measuring. Can anyone tell me......

1. What is the bolt pitch of the rearset mounting bolts? Is this the same as other bikes ie. R1, R6 etc.? Found some dimensions here....http://shibby.free.fr/trx/phpGal/pictur ... ,74,138,67 Just need to check compatibility now.

2. The size of the bolts holding the rear linkage together. The bolts for the wishbone specifically. I am going to get some rod ends on the way home and waht to make sure I get the right size. Don't worry about this one found it in the workshop manual.

Cheers guys.

Im only half done atm.. Yes its a different approach, but it does indeed work (not that ive put the gear linkage on as yet) but it does bolt up and i have ODDLES of movement.. Once i find where i want to put it, ill finish the back plate accordingly (ie: make a new one without so many damn holes in it !)

I was thinking along the same lines once I had found the sketch of the adapter. That was using the original rear sets on the adapter, getting some machined pegs and putting some detail on the heel plate.

the heel plate is 10mm, but the inside part of it is 6mm, its been "pocketed" or "rebaited" 2mm on each side. once its all finished should look nice and usual bling.
