Blue spots

Post by Red Rex » Mon Aug 13, 2007 8:32 am

I need new pads soon. Are all 'blue spot' calipers the same and take the same pads? If so which model should I order for? Any advice for a good 'road' pad that is not too aggressive with the discs?
Rubber side down, Red side up is my preferred riding style.

I ride with carbon-lorraine SBK5 for the R6, relly nice price on evilbay.
Good stopping power (but it seems as it doesn´t matter that much when you have a radial pump! :) )

All blue spots use the same pad.

best bet is to ask for pads for a TDM900, coz they only have the 1 type of bluespot ;)

Just replaced the pads on my never-before-used '98 YZF blue spots - Yamaha dealer said the R1 and YZF blue spots have different pads. It certainly seemed that way looking at the 'book' with the life-size diagrams that we used to figure out what the old pads were. Perhaps there's not enough difference to prevent them fitting?

They're all the same shape and fitment.

I have thunderAce calipers with Fazer 1000 pads (which were fitted in Fazer 1000 calipers before) - no difference except maybe in compound which will vary between manufacturers anyhow.

Check the EBC website - all bluespots use FA252 pads.
