it came from a lady in Norwich it arrived today and its very clean and straight i just need the spacer tube that sits in between the bearings in the back wheel ,,have a guess how much they are from Yamaha ,, now remember its only a bit of steel tube ,,,Â£65 yes that's right when the parts lad told me my legs went !!!! i will NOT be buying that ,,,the R1 also has the same spacer made from alloy so its of to the alloy shop tomorrow and if it cost me more than Â£5 i will be very surprised ,, the tube needs to be 158mm long with a bore of 28mm and about 4mm wall in T6 and i will show my arse if it don't work (not a pretty site) Â£65 there's a complete wheel on evilbay for Â£30 ,, so Yamaha can fek off

CRIMINAL Steve.
Yes i`m familier with the bearing spacers,some have lips on them but I`ve used alloy and brass tubes in many wheels over the years,there`s no need for them to be steel as long as the bearings are not relying on them as abutment pieces.
Maybe yamaha are trying to get on the podium with honda for the spares rip off cup?

well i fitted it all today !!!!! and i don't like the look so it all coming off tomorrow ,, it just looks to bulky to me

,,,,are well i least i give it a go its not cost much and i will be putting the parts back on evil bay shortly ,, now were did i put that supercharger ?

Hahahaha,ah well that`s how it goes with bike mods sometimes Steve.

I quite like the stock swingarm but then I`ve always liked alloy box section anyway,and likely it`s all a fair bit lighter than the YZF arm,wheel etc anyway.
Weight is one of my pet hates on bikes,if it`s not necessary get rid of it I say.

The YZF swingarm is heavier, it adds 1 kg.

Good call Steve. When you can easily fit a 5.5inch yzf rim in the standard swinger, I don't see the reason for a braced yzf swinger. The standard one isn't kown to flex anyway.
