Jetting

Post by Killerwhale » Thu Jun 11, 2009 8:47 am

Well, i did the 3rd dyno yesterday and i got an annoying hole in the powerband. It really get´s thin where it used to be fat.
You think i can jet myself out of this misery?? 8-[
Goes up to 15 A/F...it also as it did before go a tad fat at the end....bigger main air?

Hmmm, did some thinking....
I´ve locked down the acc pump arm and as it now goes first fat and then thin it SHOULD help to release the arm for a later acc pump....right...!? Gotta try this tonight...

So is this cause of this problem the change of headers??? Is the slow jet and slow air jet in this range as such... Would that not give you a few options?? larger slowair jet or smaller slowjet or visa versa to compensate... or is that the best combination of jets and the result... So searching for other options

Chart is a full throttle run so only main jet´s involved. We have checked idle...slow...and needle and they are spot on! ~A/F 13
(you check FCR´s in approx. 1/8´s throttle up to full)

I would agree Killerwhale, try releasing that accelerator pump,it`s on a graduated quadrant so it might pull things back in left to working as was intended.
By the way my Swedish `parcel` arrived this morning  .I`m off to my home race track after 4 so havn`t had time to get stuck into the packaging yet,it`ll have to wait for my return on sunday night.
I`m in my local web cafe as I`m expecting some emails and don`t have a home pc.
