Sorry KW, but I have to correct that. The timing will be off when the chain is longer. The tensioner takes up the slack, yes, but the chain will still be longer on the tense/pulling side.

Never trust anyone and accept "truth" without thinking whether it makes sense or not, and that goes for what anyone says, including "Yours Truely". That's how urban myths are created 
My tuner also comes up with some peculiar thoughts sometimes, that I prefer to ignore. His knowledge in tuning is superior, but explaining why it works isn't his strongest area... As long as it works, I am a happy camper.

Waiting for my cam chain now, was'nt gonna replace it cause i thought they where much dearer. £42 plus vat. Should hopefully be rebuilt by Tuesday.
