Wonkey cans

Post by Biohazard » Thu Oct 07, 2010 9:55 pm

I got Scorpion cans on my bike. No matter what I do, the cans dont seem to sit evenly. Anyone else had this? One side seems to fit in further than the other. I think one side moves, as I first noticed they were not level, so I straightened them up, and oner side seems to have slid round or something. Strange. Wondering if it needs a bit of bending or something.

Strange aint it? I've tried rotating the link pipe and all sorts. But the one on the left of the bike never stays where its meant to. :dontknow:

I once went out with a bird who had wonkey cans.................

:D

Theres no magic solution, just swapping link pipes over, bending can hangers, loosening, tightening etc etc.

I made a pair look a bit more level once by putting one can hanger bracket on the outside of the pillion peg bracket, and the other one on the inside.

 Poor woman!

My Leo Vince's aren't exactly level, I could probably get them level, but I think I'm the only one who would appreciate it!

:? Same for my Micron carbons, I shimmed one side out and forced the otherside in, and I don't have a link pipe either, straight 2 into 2!
