what sprockets?

Hi i have purchased a trx with an xjr 1200 back wheel now just to confirm although i am 99% sure when i change the chain and sprockets will i have to buy an xjr1200 rear sprocket and chain and a trx front sprocket? cheers

Hmmmm, well B & C Express list a 38 tooth rear sprocket for the XJR1200 with the part number of 0866-38.
Obviously the stock sprocket for a TRX is 39 teeth, an 0300-39 in their listing.Strangely if they were the same fitment they would undoubtedly have the same first portion of part number.They are both 525`s and both bikes chains are listed as 110 links too.
So, you WILL have to order a sprocket to suit the XJR wheel but as for teeth, well it`s down to preference in gearing really.
Personallly I find the TRX a tad tall geared so going with a stock 38 tooth XJR sprocket will make it even higher.
Try a 40 and see how you find it when you come to replace chain and sprockets. :wink:

cheers mate now that i know i can keep my eyes open for them i am looking for a gold chain and sprocket but i think i will wait and see what ebay has to offer :)
