Japanese wiring diagram wanted
Hi,
does anybody have a wiring diagram for the Japanese import model 4NX prefrably in colour. I want to remove the headlight on at all times by replacing the switch gear, I have a colour diagram for the home market TRX (English) but I need the Japanese version to see how they differ.

Re: Japanese wiring diagram wanted
Easiest way is to do just what you say: replace the switchgear on the LHS with a UK one.
Its just a straight swap.
No need for a wiring diagram.
I know a few of the guys in OZ have done this mod, cos they got more Japanese-spec TRX's down there than we did up here.
Put a post in the wanted section on here or look on ebay.
Some other Yam models use the same switchgear but I cant remember which ones, so do a 'search' on here, otherwise someone else will be along in a minute to enlighten us.....

Thanks Dave,
but the wiring to the plugs is different, someone has already replaced the ignition switch and cut and spliced several wires. Won't I also need to replace the right hand switch gear as the on, park and off switch is on this side?

no when you look at your LHS switch gear you'll see a rubber bung where this switch used to sit and has been removed to do these functions

Hi,
dosn't have a rubber bung but has a hazard warning switch, I take it that this is where the on,park off switch is on Brit bike and not on right hand as thought.

makes sense to wire that hazard switch into the switchgear to do its function causing both indicators to flash.. the L/h swithgear which has the indicator switch also .... Hazard switch would I imagine just earth both indicators instead of just the one you choose via the indicator switch so all functions are in the switchgear and both run down the same left and right indicator lines from the swithgear...

Re: Japanese wiring diagram wanted
Well I've bought an FZR switch, it looks identical to the current switch except there's an OFF, PARK, ON switch instead of the hazard warning switch, and now to the big problem the FZR switch has a NINE pin plug and the TRX switch only has FOUR (it only has to operate the indicators as the lights are wired direct), while I have a wiring diagram for the FZR switch I still need a Japanese diagram to trace the lighting circuit.
Apoligies everyone after delving a bit further I've found a chocolate block with another FOUR wires so things are looking better? will keep digging.
