Compression damping adjuster...

The compression damping knob is very hard to turn, what gives?

I guess it has sat in that position for quite some time, but what's in there? A needle valve?
The bike feels OK , the previous owner was the same size as me so it might be better to just leave it alone?

I guess you're talking about the rear as the front only has rebound adjustment.

It's a tapered adjuster as far as I know, if it's seized then it's best to be stripped down as trying to loosen it in situ might damage it.
The rear rebound adjuster was partially seized on my original shock and I kept trying it - now there's no damping at all

seems like the time to purchase an adapter from kayla and install an r6 shock.
i am well pleased with mine.
much more stable now.
