fork dust covers

Post by Wombat » Wed Mar 06, 2013 7:56 am

Do they have any metal in their construction?
Left hand one is fine, right hand one, the rubber is all perished and the seal is lifting slightly off the fork leg.
At closer inspection there seems to be a bit of rusty metal inside the seal?
Doesnt seem to be marking the fork tube....YET

I'll order a set of Pyramid dust covers off EBay

From memory, they have a 'spring' around the inside perimeter to seal them & stop water getting in.
