Weight of the TRX cans?

Hi all!

that's the story - i bought my bike with quite ugly silencer and headers, and deadly needed to replace this :


and just bought these Carbon- looking cans, but they are a bit heavy and i'm not sure if the tiny peg mounts will handle with this weight :



So the question is - does anyone knows the weight of the original TRX silencers ? (i know it is a ridiculous question but still - don't want to lose some parts during a bumpy ride)

don't worry mate, the std cans are like boat anchors.
as long as you line it all up and tighten correctly you should be alright.

wow, 6 kilos! - this is really heavy


Yup, this was my first job - to throw off the cans and the header, but then the problems began - the headers(standart) I purchased from ebay.co.uk was without flanges and had to make some solution..
The other huge problem is that the right rear peg/exhaust mount is missing and i can't find in the ebay such - all of the offers are for left mount - now trying to understand the German language so that i can search in the ebay.de ... Wish me luck

Beero, search for Kawasaki ZX10 split collars for the headers / front pipe to head studs, infact I`m certain many other Kawasaki split collars will fit too, like these:

They can be simply stretched or squeezed in a vice to fit the stud spacing.

Here is update of the frozen project Trixxie:



these days I bought a set of zzr1100 collars :


a bit rusty, but then sand blasted them, then painted with heat resistant paint:



then found right pillion peg and all was ready for assembling:






Have to admit that the sound is pretty good for a 3vd Engine in this bike (hope some day to find crank and camshafts for the 4UN)


and sneak a peek for my next project (Yamazaki):
