Here's where the cans finish up.
Only pic I have at present but will take more when it's all bolted on properly.

I've had it on the bike loosely fitted & it all goes where it should so I'm sure it was designed for the TRX. Cans are quite small at 100mm diameter... . or is it the standard cans that are huge ?

My Kawasaki header clamps came today & they fit so just waiting on gaskets now & I can fire it up.
I discovered yesterday that my Ford CVH cylinder heads have exactly the same exhaust studs as my TRX !

Didn´t you see in his add on ebay that it was a one off made for a trackbike??

You pay more attention than me mate.

Here's the text from the ad'.
a yamaha trx 850 race system
which was professionally made for race bike
unusual 2 into 4 into 2 system, designed to give max power
needs new sleeves fitting they cost 80 pounds
and could do with a repaint otherwise in good sound condition
That's solved it then, it's unique !

Greenhill Racing i think. Extremely expensive high flow custom race pipe. The 2-4-2 design flows as much as an enormous diameter 2-2 does.

Blimey ! Cheers for the info youngy.

It is very well made, looks like someone went to a lot of trouble & it fits perfectly which is unusual for something that is a "one off". I can imagine it would have cost a lot new but I didn't pay all that much for it.. . . which was nice.

Just out of curiosity I will look these Greenhill racing geezers up then.

Thanks again.

Very much so. I can get one local for about $2300 from memory. I'll build up a fuel injection and plenum setup from parts and probably use Megasquirt. But I haven't worked in a week and a half so very low priority at the moment. Then it's a toss up between doing that or getting the Mustang shell and starting on that.
I really like that exhaust that GB got. Not fussed on carbon though. I reckon brushed Al of Stainless would be the go for me. Does look ace but.

No excuses, I'm tight & it was cheap !
Maybe I'm not seeing the full potential of this exhaust as the carb's are standard bar the factory pro tubes & I'm still running standard air box with K&N filter. I should at least try a dynojet kit but having another project on the go means time/money is always well stretched for me. The bike is winning over the car so far this year, I've just bought a pair of FZR600 foxeye front forks for it & a pair of pirelli dragon corsa pro evo super duper what ever the f**k they call them tyres.

Having said that the bike still pulls strong right up to the red line.
When the exhaust turned up the cans were painted mat black. 1 was ally & the other carbon but the seller included 2 new carbon tubes so I fitted them. I bought 2 oval cans from Brockzilla a few months back but they need a bit of cutting/welding to fit this system so not done anything yet. Sure they will look better than the stubby round ones just can't find time to fit them.

I've found the Dynajet kit v. difficult to setup properly - the FPs were easier but very suseptable to correct float height.
