one more thing most lads forget is to set the float height it needs to be 14mm with the float just touching the float valve but NOT compressing the float valve spring go to factory pro site to see how to do it they have a neet trick to hold the floats in place with the floatbowl

There is a manual in the downlaods section shows you how to measure the float height. If you want to check it with th ecarbs off the bike you have to hold the carb up sideways so the float is not compressing the valve.
The float bowl screws are soft, assuming this is what you mean. Put a slot across it with a hacksaw and use a flatblade screwdriver.
If the inlet rubbers are cracked right through they need replacing. this could well be a source of your problems. If they're just surface cracks I wouldn't bother.
TPS sensor is on the side of the carbs. Has an electrical connector to it. Again, look in the manual - it tells you how to adjust the sensor and what the tacho will show you for it.
I had a loose float in one of my carbs. I just put the float bowl back on put the screws in. Next time I took the bowl off the float was seated properly.
