Vic motorcycle wreckers had a TRX they were breaking a while ago, might be worth checking & there's a lad of...dubious... reputation breaking one on eBay, I've bought from him before (cash on collection) & not had any problems, but others have had things not sent or go missing from him.

thanks mate, there is a couple of wreckers on Ebay and I have contacted them, seems reasonable costings.

A R6 trackbiker just down the road from work put me onto the theory during a yak, says wiring issues are quite common in Yams "of that age"
-temperature expands the plastic and pulls a broken wire apart, no spark. Cools down a bit, spark again.
Fits all the symptoms , fingers crossed

Somehow I feel PLAUSIBLE involves C4,....dunno why. :laughing6: :laughing6: :laughing6:
It's when you have problems that the learning curve and respect for the machine meet....
As MV suggests, hope you get sorted.

Ya reading up on the Rectifier I just cannot imagine its failure fitting my symptoms.

Going for a re-wire, this seems to match the issue.

Will update y'all
