Bearings in Oz

Post by petetrx » Thu Mar 27, 2014 9:13 am

Is there any suppliers in Oz for the swingarm bearings? Just been quoted $68 for ONE swingarm bearing :( . Surely there is an alternative

you'll find something in the search ..Someone (possibly con rod ) has made a list of the trx bearings and seals with appropriate part numbers.
I went through the same supplier he listed (Hooper bearings down NSW???)
Search and ye shall find..

Just take whatever bearings you need to your local bearing service. When i did all my swing arm and linkage bearings Yamaha quoted over $220 for the bearings. Got the same SKF bearings for $64 from my local bearing service.
Them red Yamaha stickers be very expensive  :D
It must be true, I read it on the internet.

Yep me thinks that I should do some more investigation at a specialist bearing supplier. I don't mind supporting local dealers and who knows what they are making out of it but they have to be competitve :?
