Hey guy's.... got the bike MOT today, and as an advisory on the MOT it says there is a high point on one of the front discs, not sure what that is, i asked if it was a warped disc, but he said no, anyone give me an idea of what it is likely to be.
I will also be needing to replace the tyres within the next 200-300 miles, and was looking at M & P website, they have Avon storm 2 at £155, and Maxxis super sport at £148, anyone used these, or know anyone who has, appreciate any advice.
Train hard.... race fast.

I got a Maxxis supersport on the back mainly for trackday use and i like it. Have used supercorsa's in the past and wanted something that lasted a bit longer, which it will but it still grips like glue. 2 trackdays in anf it looks like this;-

Good value too. I paid £86 for the rear. I have kept the supercorsa on the front for the moment as the wear rate is lower on the front. I got avon pro extreme wets too but i dont think they would last very long on the road.
All the best,
Dave

Cheers Dave, sounds good to me, all the reviews i have read seem to point to the same, good grip and good wear rate as well, have you used them in the wet !!!
Has anyone any idea on the brake issue, it's not something that i notice when I'm riding, but would like to know what it is, and if anything can be done to fix it, or maybe it will just have to be new discs.
Thanks in advance.....Franky.

Could it be caked on brake dust in one of the drilled holes? Never heard of it myself!

i had a storm 2 on my trx when i toured London to Munich.
Was a good tire from memory, good wear rate and grip. Progressive feed back. cant recall what it was like in the wet. I dont remember any thing major commuiting on londons winter roads on it though.
It was good enough that i went looking for them again in Australia but they are an expensive tire in Australia so did not look further.
