Hello. I have disconnected the cables to my cockpit because I am about to fit a digital speedometer. Cables between connector and cockpit has been cut to fit the new speedometer. Now, when I push the starter button nothing happens, can that have anything to do with the "missing" cockpit?

Starter relay is beside the battery.
Does the bike turn over with the starter and just no ignition??
or you have no power at all??
Check the fuses that all live around the battery and stator to start.

I recently replaced the mulifunction relay on mine due to similar issues. Its 11 pin on mine and is near where the battery originally is. I did the test as explained in the manual and it confirmed the fault, i replaced the starter solenoid first but that didnt cure it. Now its all ok again.

Thanks Silver. When I disconnected the relay, I noticed that one of the wires to the connector where loose and had no connection.
