Brake Question - Confirmation Please

Post by Mav617 » Mon Nov 03, 2014 11:24 am

Hi guys,

I've bought a set of Thundercat blue spot calipers - will I also need the master cylinder or can I use the TRX one?

Thanks,

Rog

You can use the trx one
It is a bit wooden but work well. If you decide its too wooden you can get an 14mm one from an r6, or something else with blue spots

Cheers mate, now I'm thinking that the Venhill braided hoses I ordered for the TRX calipers won't fit the Thundercat ones :(

they will be ok, you just might have to route them slightly differently

see 2 options for routing the brake lines on this page, both using lines for the standard calipers on blue spots

The thundercat bluespots have the line connection on the side iirc. the trx one is on the top of the caliper, but it wont make any difference.
If you have ordered standard trx lines, one with a straight banjo at one end and a bent one at the other, and one with bent banjos at both ends, they will fit and will be long enough.
The Thundercat lines would have had straight banjos at the bottom of each line instead, but I am sure I've used TRX lines on thundercat calipers.
