Kentcams has arrived...finally!
The cam followers should be changed when changing the cams, anyone has a link to a dealer in europe who don´t charge as the yamaha centers??

Also, is there any other things to think about??

Really? Do they show wear (mine looked brand new)?

You aren't talking about shims are you? You'll need a bunch on hand to get the clearances right I'd guess.

I call them buckets. Cam followers to me are more like rocker arm thingies. Mine had no sign of wear at all when I rebuilt the engine before the 4hr (about 22K on the clock). Nice and shiny is the description. I wouldn't replace them unless they show scoring or uneven wear.

Yup, look like buckets!
Hope they look as good as yours, i aim at keeping ´em!

Normally I would say, new cams new buckets coz when you adjust the valves u stick the buckets in the same spot as were they came off.
So they are kinda related to the cam lobes and valves.

But maybe its all not that critical and you can use the old ones if they dont have any sign of wear.
Make sure you fit the buckets in their original place.

Thanks for that input!!

Definately stick them back in the same position, but if the surface where the cam lobe runs on the top is flat as a pancake and doesn't show wear, I wouldn't waste the money. Put a straight edge on them and hold them up to a bright light, if they are flat, you save money.

I've Kent cams in my motor and the original buckets were used...............runs nice and quiet and to change to the clearances as yet...........
