I must have got the wrong year - this 2010 model fits the linkage, but the top fouls the reg-rec, and I move that out of the way it fouls the battery box. I could cut down the battery box but then I'd need to find a home for the reg/rec, looks like Im buying that YSS after all,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Annoying, as with the reg/rec out the way it's only around 1.5mm away - wonder if I could grind that much off the top of the shock reservoir?

Most people use the R6 shock, were you trying something different or did you get the wrong shock?

I thought I read the ZX6R shock fitted, but it must be an earlier model without the piggyback reservoir

Ah OK. The R6 unit with the piggy back resovoir & clevis mount on the bottom fits with an adaptor from Projection Components.

With enough time & money you could make most anything fit though, obviously within certain constraints :D

Excellent choice.
I set up a 900 hornet last years for Janets nephew with the same model wilbers shock and the difference was like night and day.
Adjustable ride height on the bottom as the photo is a little blurry???
