TPS reading - confused

Hi, bike has an hesitation at constant throttle. Its new to me but been stood a while so thought terminals, tps, clean carbs...ive come to check the TPS prior to removing carbs and I'm getting a sweep to 3k every few seconds and then sweep to 8k when tps plugged back in. Bike has vapour dash fitted but scotch locked to loom so been able to connect up the original clocks. The 8k reading says TPS is out but what does the 3k reading mean? Vapour dash rev reading is all over the place but is a recent addition so not sure if it had the resistor fitted. From what I've read that could be the TPS is knackered?

The std trx TPS set up std works on the principal their is a set voltage value programmed into the std ECU and you move the TPS on the carby to find the corresponding voltage readings.
You just need to adjust the TPS on the carbies to find this.
It's very rarely a faulty TPS.

Good example on how it works is if you look at the programable ignition thread and calibrating the TPS.
It works the opposite way than the std set up as it reads the voltage from the TPS at 0% throttle and 100% throttle and no need to adjust the TPS on the carby , you calibrate by the programable ignition.

This will give you an idea on what the TPS calibration is trying to achieve.
