YZF750 Fork with Daytona 675 Cartridge?

Anyone know anything about this?
In this month's Practical Sportbikes there is a piece on the YZF750. The writer says that apparently, Daytona 675 fork cartridges go straight into the YZF750 fork. I had never heard this so wondering if anyone on here has heard of this.
