Choke...

So... It looks like my choke has something different from usual...
when I start the bike in the morning I give it full choke and hit the start button, the bike starts, revs at 2K rpm and after a few seconds goes up to 3k revs...when I close the choke a bit..
thing is since a few days ago I have noticed that it won´t rev to 3k revs anymore... just stays at 2k revs, even if I wait a while..
as far as I can tell the movement on the choke is exactly the same as have always been, no more or less..
does anyone have an idea to why now it won´t rev more than 2k revs?
