The rear foothold came off..

This morning the rear left foothold/attachment for the muffler came off on the way to work
Is it just to weld it back on to the frame?

I had the same problem. It's pretty common. I didn't have any problems just welding the bracket back on the frame. I guess it depends how rusty it is.

I´ve been round to "every" welding firm in Stockholm now and no one would do it unless I strip down the whole bike...
No plastic anywhere near the place to be welded.
How hard is it to strip the side panels etc ?

It's a five minute job to take the side panels off (6 bolts if memory serves me), however if they ask you to remove the undertray it may take you longer.

How do I remove the seat?

take off the rear seat, then pull the small catch down at the the front it's just behind the pad and the seat should lift off to revieal the battery/fuses.etc

I didn't have to remove the undertray to weld mine. Just be careful.

yea, now I have stripped my bike
yesterday I asked my neighbor:
(Me) - You like cars
(neighbour)- Yes..
(Me) - And you own an old Volvo
(neighbour)- Yes..eehh
(Me)- Then you must have welding equipment
(neighbour)- Yes
So this weekend we shall fix my bike

Sanoj disconnect the battery ( both sides ) and place the earth clamp as close as possible to the weld area so you won't damage any bike electricals
