security bolts
Any tips on removing the two security bolts that hold the ignition switch to the top triple clamp?
I'm thinkng i'l have to drill them out to remve the ignition then pull what's left out with vice grips.
Sugestions?

Unfortunately mate as the others have stated you have to drill them out.
When i done mine i used a pillar drill so you can drop the rpm,s right down on it and get 100% accuracy, hand held drill is a bad way to go as it takes alot of downwards pressure on the drill to get through them and you can only achieve that on a pillar drill.
I reckon they made the bolts out of feckin granite or something!!
Once the heads come off its plain sailing from there on.

Besides the fact that they are made out of "feckin granite or something" (
), they're also bonded in there with the stuff they glue the space shuttle together with. A little heat has been know to help break it apart (no disrespect intended to the Columbia astronauts) but I'd use a hot air gun and not an open flame.

let me tell you a little something max about that space shuttle glue as thats what i build for a living.
once that stuff has air cured for 48 hours its not fun getting it to unstick again, heat may after a long long time do it but theres only one thing we use in the trade and thats a nasty little substance called ardrox.
that stuff is the devils work and will eat its way through anything if you spill it including titanium!!
