my top speedo bulb is out

is this a quick easy fix or a real pain in the arse

easy peasy

whip off the unit, look at the back and all will become clear

wipp of the whole speedo unit ( clocks)

do i not need to remove the fairing.?

guess i should go out to the cold garage and ponder ha ha

Fairing needs to come off to get at the clocks, easy job.

Speaking from experience just be gentle when you tighten the 4 nuts that hold the fairing, headlight unit in place.
These bolts are held in place in the fairing by the fibreglass moulding and will spin if they are done up too tight.

not sure its worth the hassle in the winter for a bulb might do it in the summer as i dont ride much in the dark

Small hands can get in behind the unit. I haven't got small hands but have managed to replace a bulb in the past without removing the speedo.

"Sorry officer, the bulb must've just gone and I couldn't see what speed I was doing ......."

Worked for me in a car once!!!

FFS, it's only a couple of bolts and a couple of connectors. It's a 10 minute job.

i'd do it now and i'm a lazy feck
less than 10mins, and Halfords do the bulbs you need

yeah i am just being lazy like, mind jak might have hit the nail on the head
