EMC do monotube shocks as well. There are UK sources that are cheaper than this

Technoflex do a shock as well. Nitron do a monotube "sportshock" that I think goes for under £300 and may well be better than the OEM remote reservoir item.

Perhaps just have one of your OEMs rebuilt? Mine was done by Proflex (BITD), and still functions just fine, at least from an I-don't-have-a-grand-for-Ohlins-TTX-thank-you-very-much perspective.

out of those i'd look at the Nitron emulsion shock, as it has a ride height adjuster on it.

Theres a YZF 750 ohlins unit on Ebay usa at the moment with very low kms and no bids yet. See if you can get him to post os and you'll have a very nice unit. Slight mod needed to fit. Also comes with dog bones that lift the ride height - BONUS.

I've got a Hagon shock on, and it seems pretty good, but it replaced an OE item which had done 20k miles, so would seem good.

Just out of curiosity how many miles did your shocky last? I was going to fit an after market shock to my bike when finances allow and was thinking about hagon myself.

...sure Neil will post you up a reply, but IMHO a shock lasts about 15k miles / 25k km roughly, with usual one-up road use on a mix of type of road. It's very rare for one to break or collapse, they just fade over time, and you don't really notice how bad it had got til you stick on a new one or get the old one refreshed.

Heres my Hagon unit...

Yeah, that sounds about right. The last one was changed at about 17k miles but was way past it`s best at about 15k!!!
Then i fitted a second-hand o.e. one which was about shagged when i bought it...that lasted about 1k.
So this time it`s new after market shock time to try and get some of that handling back!!!!! :D
