i have tracked down an over racing exhaust stockist who is willing to sell me just the headers (the full exhaust goes for $2000 aud) will it be beneficial to join the headers to the standard exhaust or will the variance in tube diameter affect the gas flow negatively? i have free flowing cans on it also at the moment. will the standard collars fit or will i have to replace them also? any input would be appreciated.

Leading question, take your wedding ring (or similar if You're still free and happy), blow through it as hard as You can. Then take a 100 metre tube with same diameter and do the same..

The inlets for Your current cans will probably be to small, if the cans are fitted together with the standard headers today.

Over stockist? Can he source more exhausts/other Over parts?

Have a chatt to megacycle down your way(I think they are at melbourne) and they will give you an idea of options open to you... Be interested to here price comparisions.. Cheers Brian(I'm not the massiah just a very naughty boy...lol)

all he can get a hold of is the full exhaust and the headers for the trx. he used to be an agent for "over" years ago when he was a yamaha dealer but that is no longer the case. the rear sets are a deleted item, i regret never getting them at the time. the full over racing fairing which i have on my bike started life on his demo trx.

why didnt i think of that?? they are literally 5 min from my place... its the megacycle cans i have on my bike! they even made me a pair of bungs if i ever wanted to quieten the rex down. it has a lot more torque down low when i have them installed. thanks for the reminder!

Be interested in what he has to offer either building a complete system or modifying cans to suit larger headers as have just fitted fcr's 2 days ago to mine with std headers and staintunes and looking at big bore system and air pods to compliment the extra input.. But i dont have an endless bank account

Pipemaster at springwood gave me a price of $650 bucks to manufacture larger s/steel headers to adapt to the std staintunes or $1100 to $1200 for a 2 into 1 complete big bore system depending on the muffler style..(to suit power requirements).. hope this gives you some scope on options

You mean Motorcycle Exhaust Professionals (opp Autobarn). Pipemasters are in Allison St, Mayne. I have a set of carbon Pipemasters on mine and I believe they are the best sounding TReX pipes I've heard. Better than my full over system, just not the top end performance. Additionally, the guy at Pipemaster will talk to you, the guy at MEP just wants to talk at you.

yes your right sherlock(lookin at the wrong business card) have yet to ride back over to pipemaster to see what options I have there. Thinking and not studying again.. mmmm.. Bit foolish of me..

Popped out today to pipemaster about a system. Well what a nice coupla blokes who make you feel quite comfortable with there knowledge, experience and willingness to help give you the service you expect with specs on dyno results from previous fittings and race teams using there systems.
Totally different from the response I got from the *^!^+* at motorcycle exhaust professionals
As for price $650 for 41.5mm s/steel headers either twin headers or 2 into 1 style, slight mod's to fit the staintunes(1 or both) $100 or 2 into 1 with muffler $1200.
I think I'd rather put my faith in Pipemaster(someone who would rather take the time to feed a resident stormbird a bit of mince) than feed his ego like I found at M/cycle exhaust proff..
