fcr service

do the fcr carbs need any servicing ,?? ,we know the std carbs suffer from needle jet wear, but is there anything to inspect on the fcr,s ??? :D

Not that i'm aware of. The balance is set mechanically and once it's right you leave it alone. 4 years of faultless operation and counting 8)

Just as a precaution, I sent my Mikuni FCRs for an overhaul. I had been told the carbs had been on the bike since it was new... I checked the receipt now, and the only parts they charged me for were some kind of slide gaskets and the O-rings for the float needles (plus new mains, but that was my wish. I know they did some kind of re-build as well, AFAIK the later TDMRs had some minor change. Don't know if they did something more without charging for it.
