Decided not to tackle the valve service myself, so looking or someone to take the bike to, figured some of you guys may have had work done somewhere reputable, if so, please share...

I am aware that you live in Brissy area somewhere, but I took mine to these guys who were recommended to me by someone who I acknowledge as being well versed in these areas (he is the manager for the workshop that services my bus.) Also the owner of a cb1100 and a 900 cbr.

I had my bikes valves done there, Sprockets and Chain, carbs balanced, and it was quick and it was nowhere near as expensive as I would have imagined.
However the last time I got work done there they couldnt do anything major for at least a month they were that busy.
It will only cost a pone call

Well, I have only had good experiences with 3 bike shops in Brisbane, and lots of bad experiences.

the three I can recommend are: Brisbane Motorcycles, Leading Edge and Northstar Yamaha.

Brisbane Motorcycles (Lutwyche) IMHO is clearly the best bike shop in Brisbane, but they arent a Yamaha dealer. They would service the bike though.

Northstar are Yamaha only (Toombul). Leading edge (Brendale) is my local place.

anyone had experience with startline motorcycles in slackscreek? My younger brother took his CBR there and was most impressed (had previously been to POO Honda)
