Anyone know if R1 or R6 mirrors fit or just any mirror with slightly longer stems so I can see behind me a bit ? Done a search but found nothin. :|

Search should throw up something: only one thats a better direct swap is off something like a Yam SZR or SRX 600 or something, the blue ones with the red seats.

Anything can be adapted to fit: some aftermarket ones only have one bolt, or have two but with an adjustable span, so would fit the TRX

Trouble is mate, changing the mirrors won't make you any prettier!

:D

Maybe not but it's strangely comforting to know that I can't possibly get any uglier either.
I will search "szr mirrors" and see what comes up, cheers. :D

agreed - I only use mine in foreign countries but find that panniers obscure the view a bit

Tried cable ties, cant see anything in them !! :bail:

Dunno what my mirrors are off, but they're not original as now have extra hole in fairing to accomodate wider mounts.

Oh, I see. Sorry. You want to keep your mirrors on the bike  I meant take them off and cable tie the fairing in place.

M&P list some 'universal' ones-

any use?

Thanks for the link. :D R1 still look favourite regards fit & length but without knowing if they are any longer, or what the bolt spacings are I think I will make some spacers for my original ones & see how they look/work. I just wondered if anyone knew of a straight swap for another pair of mirrors with longer stems but other than szr 660 ones it would seem that there aren't any. :(

Longest mirror stems I've seen on a Yam are those on the Fazer Thou (previous model not the current one). Not sure if they are compatible with the TRX bolt pattern but worth finding one at your local dealers and having a measure perhaps?

Got the szr mirrors on my bike now. They are not 100% bolt on, as you have to drill a bit bigger hole.
I haven't done many trips with the new mirrors yet, but so far I have struggled to adjust them like I want to, and the rubber sitting over the "knee" (?) on the mirror arm do not fit very well.

Rather than waste more money on mirrors that might not be of any use I made some spacers for my TRX mirrors out of some ally block I had kicking around. :D

They are a bit brighter than my pictures would suggest but I haven't studied the camera enough (at all) so just pretend they are shiney for now.
I've Only got 1 rubber gasket that goes between the fairing & mirror base so a bit worried they might mark my paint unless anyone has a spare they could sell me ? :(

Probably not big enough to make much difference but any bigger & they would have started to look goofy I thought ?
I know everything is covered in a layer of shite but ermmmm... . . I've been busy. :?
