Connected or disconnected, in my experience, does not invoke "running like a pig". At a most, I've noticed rough low RPM performance when disconnected. Sure You haven't detached any of the vaccuum hoses by accident? If not, what do You mean by "running like a pig"?
My German girlfriend has a good word for what You've done, I'm doing it all the time: "kaputtreparieren", meaning something like "repairing something until it's in a worse condition than before"...

Hi zenridaz!

Why were you trouble shooting, i.e. what was the original problem?

Maybe that could give a hint ...

basically i thought if i run the bike with the tps unplugged on full advance, that this would maybe solve my acceleration problem that i have had for some time .

underload when i hold the throttle wide open i get what feels like mis firing.
the bike has had this problem for sometime, but i seem to have made it worse buy unplugging the tps.

the bike idles rough
i changed the emulsion tubes about 500k ago.
