Pod filters on CV carbs?

What was the problem with doing this again? Seen quite a few bikes in Streetfighters magazine(UK) 
with CV carbs and pods on.

Cylinder robbing at low speeds - the airbox is designed to allow internal "balancing" between cylinders - especially at low speed. It isn't just "robbing" when the inlet valves snap shut - it's also a resonance issue too.
One way to help it if you're determined to use separate filters is to put a solid divider between the filters - like a solid plastic number plate kinda thing.
