anyone fitted a yzf 750 wheel and the swingarm ?? any line up problems ??? i just need the axle , spacers, chain adjust blocks , and a big hammer

I went down the yzf swinger with thunderace wheel route mate so dont know if you will encounter any line up probs, however ive got a spare axle with nut in top condition if you want it??

can i take a rain check on that billy i am waiting for a response from a lad on ebay who has the lot up for sale ,, i will be in touch thanks

thanks billy i am all sorted now, just need some new bearings on Monday and i will have to make a new spacer tube in between the bearings , turn down the spacer in the sprocket bearing and toys r us

the rear sprocket hub /cush drive has a bearing in there , now both the trx and the yzf use the same bearing but only in that location No962064 the differance is the push in spacer on the trx its 20mm bore but the yzf has a 25mm bore , so spacer needs some surgury ,, why what did you do ??

Yes, i use an offset sprocket wich go in approx 3-4mm.....then it´s happy days!!

....can also add that if using an R1 rear brake/carrier you need to add a shim of some sort as the carrier is a few mm less than TRX/YZF750 one...

just been to pickup axle ,,i thought it was 25mm but this one is 28mm can someone confirm the right diameter

28 is correct!

I've a YZF swingarm. The only thing I did is flip the rear sprocket as I read about that on this forum. How do you check the line up of the chain (precisely enough) anyway?
I would like to know because I have a Marvic rim that is 6 inch wide. I'm not sure if that's going to work.

cheap way to check is i suppose a bit of string,, i will use a lazer light,, i also think i can use the sprocket carrier from the fazer 600 but i will have to machine the bore for the spindle from 20mm to 28mm there is just enough material left on to be safe,,, i will do some before and after pictures when i get all the bits together

If youre fitting the yZF swinger with the YZF wheel, and you get a yzf spindle and spacers, surely you just have to replace the bearings in the wheel which are currently narrower for the trx spindle and put some yzf standard bearings back in?
Flip the sprocket if it has a dished side (like you did to make it line up for the TRX swinger) and Bobs your uncle?
TRX and YZF sprocket carriers are the same as you know.
Why all the machining?
BTW a meter long steel rule is a good tool for linng up sprockets.

i have to machine the brake caliper mount because i have a blue spot caliper ,, the mount is from a fazer600 with a 20mm axle , now i could use the mount from a 1000fazer which i have but then i would have to change the disk for one thats 267mm (fazer) ,, trx/ R1 is 245mm ,,,its all good fun
