braided lines

i've got blue spots and an r1 master cylinder on my trx as they were on it when i brought it. My question is due to my wish to upgrade to braded lines i need to know what ones to get.
ie. do i find ones for a mid 90's r1, or do ones for a trx also fit.
any help would be appreciated

Definately go for the R1 units from 98-2001 so the angles on the banjo's will be correct.

hello mate
you need to be definite what bluespots you have cos the ones off r1 or r6 are different to ones off thundercat or thunderace: where the braided line connects to the calliper. standard braided lines for a trx will fit either as they have a banjo end that has a 45 degree bend to fit the standard trx calipers, and this is proved by the fact that the standard trx rubber lines you have on there now are connected up to the bluespots ok.
Also lines for an r1 I think will be shorter.
What this all means is that if you get lines far an r1 and it ends up you have t'cat bluespots I dont think they will fit at the caliper end as r1 lines have straight banjos .... plus they may be too short.
I could be wrong, so wait or a secend opinion from someone else whos smarter than me!

So the R1 callipers are the bottom photo .. Correct????

Go for R1 lines m8. Had the same issue with some gold spots off a 2002 R1 that now grace my TRX. TRX lines simply won't work. Angle of fitments is all wrong. Luckily a m8 lent me some R1 lines to get by with until I source my own so I can confirm they work.

I found the braided lines I had fitted to my bike on the standard (import) bits fitted the R1 set up ok, although I did have to twist the lines through 90 degrees as the R1/R6 caliper banjo goes in the side of the caliper rather than the top. Just measure up what you need, ring HEL and explain what's what and they'll send you some lovely braided lines out that'll fit your bike.

Wife's never complained and we have two kids so presume not!!!!
If you mean the R1 lines, nope. They seem a little longer then the TRX ones to be honest but not by much.
As others have said you can order up lines from various suppliers to your own spec...if you know what you want that is!
