Petrol Tap Leak

Hi All,
Help...just discovered my fuel tap is leaking!
It seems to be leaking between the center part that rotates (to select res, prime, on) and the outer main body.
I've looked online and no one seems to do a repair kit for the TRX ?
Do I have to buy a new tap or is the TRX one the same as another Yam model e.g FZR, TDM?
Any help would be appreciated.
Tim

You should try giving NRP a ring:
http://www.nrp-carbs.com/
Although it`s not listed they might be able to help, alternatively there`s at least one listed on Ebay UK I think.

This company lists both TDM and XTZ tap repair kits but no TRX.
Have you tried taking it apart and then you might be able to marry it up to the images of the seals etc on this site?
Here`s the XTZ and TDM kits:

Thanks for the help guys much appreciated.
I took the tap apart today and it's an O ring that's leaking. Remove 2 screws from main tap plate, remove thrust washer thing and plastic washer, remove tap body and o ring is around it.
It was all full of grit so I tried cleaning it but it still leaked after I put it all back together...joy!
Second time around I replaced the O ring with one I had in my collection and it's sealed , although will keep an eye on it to see if it stays that way.
I am going to contact a Yamaha dealer, NRP etc to see if there is a kit or part kit to service the fuel tap.

Do the components match either of the images in the links I provided?
If they do it`ll be cheaper than original Yamahahahaha.

Well I took apart the front plate of the petrol tap (2 small screws) and removed the plate, a thrust washer and plastic washer and then removed the 'barrel' of the tap. It seems the o ring in my tap has swollen up (Oo err!) and won't seal anymore.
The o ring is not a normal type, it's more flat around the edges. I had a box of rings so I've just fitted one for now and it's stopped leaking but the tap is quite stiff to turn and I can't help wondering how long this will last.
Thanks for posting the links Mincehead, the Super Tenere kit looks the most similar o ring-wise.
I will try and get this confirmed.

Not uncommon problem
IIRC youcannot buy the o rings and so a new tap in order (I have a spare 2 or 3 taps if you want to make me an offer

)
