Fork spacer question...Maxton springs

(Sorry for the double post but now figure this is the right section!)
I just bought a pair of 0.95kg/m Maxton fork springs off ebay and I'm wondering if anyone's got any advice on what length of fork spacers I should fit? As the standard spring length is 385mm and the Maxtons are only 262mm I'll be needing to add an additional spacer to each leg. I was all set to go ahead and fit them with 123mm spacers taking them to the original spring length but thought I'd stick up a post on the forum in case someones got experience with Maxtons and has any useful advice? I guess I'd be aiming to have the bike set up with the fork preload adjusters somewhere in the middle to enable tweaking in either direction. Also not sure if I should be altering the quantity of fork oil to suit?...Thanks in advance!
(The bike will be used mainly on the road and I weigh about 13-14 stone geared up)
