Any one know what the best price for a pair of these is? Am tempted but price is a bit steep.

On another subject, had a ride out Friday to Triumph dealer in Leamington who kindly let me and my mate take some bikes out. I had a go on a street triple which was awesome, It just seemed to rev forever - a bit gutless down low but when it took off it just went like the proverbial scalded cat. Don't think my licence could survive ownership. Reminded me of my old Stan Stephen tuned RD350LC LOL

Then I took out a Speed triple a lot saner - loads of torque and that big bike feel, looks great in the blazing orange too - would need some end cans.

By the way have ordered valve shims from E Bay can any one confirm that the TRX uses 9.48mm shims - battery on my vernier is knackered and I only have 6" engineering rule - shim looked about 9.5mm I cant see .02mm on a rule these days -old age

I think they tend to go for upwards of £350 for a used pair, but they are worth it.

Took me a year of searching but I paid £320 if I remember correctly, with a bag of jets too! An EvilBay find, it`s simply a matter of being patient.
Don`t forget to look worldwide too as in the UK you`ll pay about 930 quid (and that was while vat was 15 %) from Allens.I had brokered a deal with them that if four or more sets were purchased they would do them for £632 +vat (around 730 quid).
They ain`t cheap but nothing good ever is.
Can`t help with your shim diameter enquiry but `search` facility is your friend, look through the various threads that contain valve shim as a key word:

I have been on the lookout for a set of fcrs on and off for a couple of years. Some may have slipped my attention, but they are not common on the evil bay.
I'm in the process of justifying shelling out on a pair of new ones...............

I was fortunate (?) enough to buy a second hand but unfitted-and-still-boxed-with-cables-and-stuff pair for £550, jetted for the airbox. It kind of stung a little sending a cheque out for that much but when the parcel arrived... :D And when I finally got round to fitting them...   :D :D :D  It's probably a little under £100 per extra bhp, but it is literally bolt-on horsepower. You get to lose the choke too, and have to twist the throttle before starting the engine which is just awesome  Did I mention the sound?

All I could hear was the bark from that can Kayla! Still nice though, a REAL motorcycle not a plastic power rangers cosseted steed.
