Fork oil viscosity `weights` run up to 30 indeed, some forks (older designs) even use straight 50w engine oil!

As for getting hold of 30W fork oil?
Use Opie Oils, we get discount from them as forum members  :

In a fit of desperation a few years ago, I used a 10/30 two stroke gearbox oil in my FZR400 forks. It worked really well :D Mind you, that was probably just due to replacing the dirty water that came out with actual oily oil.

I have now 20wt oil in my forks. And it does his job verry well!
Stock is 485ml in each fork. Now i have added 510ml. This makes it also al lot better.
