I had to remove the Meta alarm from my TRX. I started doing this and found the imobilizer circuit straight away and that has been sorted. After the removal I ended up with 6 black wires that were bundled with the rear lights. Now these wires may have all been connected together so there may have only been 3 complete wires rather than my 6 cut ones (I hope you are following this)
The wires are all black though a few seem to have grey squares on them every inch or so.
I have made a quick investigations and two seem to negative, two 12v positive and two just register a couple of volts.
I made a guess and connected a random negative to a random positive and when turned the key the bike started! This connection seemed to make the kill switch the starter switch! Any advice, guidence or experience of a similar nature would be appriciated.
The wiring diagram isn't the most helpful in this situation.

What EXACTLY are you asking for?
Do you want to remove the wiring altogether?
If so just trace the black wires back to their corresponding coloured wires and break them away at the connectors.

I'm asking if anyone knows which wire goes with which?
Currently the bike does not run, the starter button doesn't do anything. The black wires seem to be TRX as I have removed all the slightly different gauge alram wires.

But don`t go telling folk it`s on here, or we`ll send the `knee cappers` around.
If it doesn`t help you`ll just need to trace the wires back to their component connections, use a multi meter on the ohms scale and check for continuity.

As mince says, black wires are remains of the alarm/immobiliser. Trace them back to the original Yamaha wires. They "should" be soldered neatly to the bikes loom & at least taped up if not heat shrinked (is that even a word?). All will become obvious when you find out where they start. All those balck wires will have been labeled at 1 time so the bloke fitting the alarm knew where to connect them. The identifying marks are cut off once it's fitted to make it harder for any prospective thief to bypass the unit. Get rid of all traces of the alarm & what remains should just be your original loom that may just need tidying up a bit.

Got bike sorted..... sort of. Two of the black wires needed to be conected to each other and were existing TRX so that the starter button works. The other four wires seem to be extentions of other wires. Some to indicator wires. Two wires went down to a red wire and a light brown wires not sure what they are for as the only red wire mentioned on the wiring diagram is for the regulator rectifier. However everything seems to work so I'll run it like this and see what happens.
