Valves from KEDO.DE

all inlets had little or no clearance

will need to renew valves within next 10,000k's

has anyone bought valves from KEDO.DE before?

if so, are they OEM or aftermarket?

Approximately £18.40 each too.

i wonder if they are later model valves than mine?
my TRiXie is a '96 aussie model and judging by the left hand centre inlet being zero clearance and hammering shut, i may have the 'soft' valve dilemma.
i might email kedo to enquire.

Oh they`ll be the later spec alright you can be certain of that.But note Fung that the price is PLUS shipping, although it does include tax.

i've sent them an email anyway.

10 valves and a full gasket set is 443 euro plus around 30 euro for postage.

guides are 42 euro each!

i recently inquired about the 6 inlet valves and a timing chain. they reckoned about $40 for shipping. all up less than half price than local shops in brisbane.

Kedo.de is a company owned by enthusiasts - They have an excellent service and good mailcorrespondance. Shipping costs are also very reasonable.
I order almost all my TRX-stuff from them. (I saved approx. £300 on my Mikuni flatslide carbs buying from Kedo instead of the UK)

i have sent them a tech request re their valves.
as mine seem to be the "sus" ones, i have asked whether theirs are later spec valves (purported to be better ie stronger faces ) than my orig equip '96 bits.
waiting for an answer.
ps any one out there know of better (ie stronger faced etc) valves let me know please. i would like the best available[finances allowing of course]

The stronger valves are the same as some older R6, can't remeber which years though.

The question what valves to use best was once (09.09.2010) answered in the German forum by MGScandalo this way:

....Du kannst die Ventile aus folgenden Motoren verwenden:
XTZ750; TDM 850 3VD oder 4TX; TDM 900. Einlass und Auslass passen jeweils in den TRX-Kopf. Sind alle mit 3LD beschriftet. 3LD steht für den XTZ750 Motor.
TDM900 Auslassventile sind mit 5PS beschriftet und sind die besten A-Ventile die Du verwenden kannst.

Translated:
"... You can use the valves from following engines:
XTZ750; TDM 850 3VD or 4TX; TDM 900. Inlet and outlet fit in the TRX head, respectively. They are all marked 3LD. 3LD stands for the XTZ750 engine.
TDM900 outlet valves are marked 5PS and are the best outlet valves you can use."

Asked, why the TDM900 outlet valves are the best, MGScandalo answered further:

Der Vorteil der 900'er A-Ventile ist der, das sich auch nach hohen Laufleistungen keine Ölkohle ablagert. ...

Translated:
"The advantage of the 900's outlet valves is that even with high mileage there is no oil carbon accumulation"

As for gaskets:

'Though I'm also a real fan of KEDO I'd recommend OEM gaskets. They may be a little more expensive but are worth it! This is the experience some of the German TRX riders made.
